Jewish Meditation - Is your life a little too harried? Meditation involves training one’s attention or awareness so that one’s body and mind can be brought into more harmony. Some meditators may seek a sense of oneness with God, others many seek to reduce stress or get rid of stress-related ailments such as anxiety and high blood pressure.
So, bring yourself and strive for some calm and clarity in your hectic world and work with a group of peers to discover how we can form a monthly group to meet our needs and support our practice.
Day and Evening Meditation held once a month starting in October:
Evening: 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:30 pm-8:30pm, Chapel, TBE
Daytime: 4th Friday of the month at 1 pm- 2 pm, Chapel, TBE
This group is for people who have had experience with meditation. If you have never meditated and would like to learn how, please contact Judy Freedman at freedmanjudy@comcast.net
Spirituality Book Club with Cantor Rose - This course meets with Cantor Rose on the first Tuesdays of the month at 7:30pm and the first Thursdays of the month at noon from October through June. Each month this group explores a different aspect of our spiritual lives. The class is designed with everyone in ming: if you're a firm believe, a non-believe, a gentle skeptic, or an interested seeker, you will feel right at home in the book group.
The book club is free to join, with the exception of the cost of the books. You can find all the books in online bookstores or through other booksellers. You may sign up for the book club by emailing Cantor Annie Rose at cantorannie@gmail.com
